The HIHAUS Team Wins the Basketball Crown
On the evening of 26 November 2021, the final of the first Hans Cup Foshan Customized Doors and Windows Basketball Invitational took place in Sanshui District, Foshan. The tournament was hosted by Hans Building Materials Technology. Sixteen teams entered, each representing a door and window brand from the region, in a straight knockout format. Our team played four rounds against four different sides and finished with the trophy.
Why a factory enters a tournament
The obvious answer is that it is good for morale, which it is. The more useful answer is that a knockout tournament is an unusually honest test of an organisation. Sixteen teams of similar age and fitness, single elimination, no second chances: the sides that go deep are the ones that communicate, cover for each other and hold their structure when they are tired. Those are the same properties that decide whether a factory ships a mixed container correctly.
The company behind the team
We have been making aluminum windows and doors since 2005. Over that period the company has been a brand listed on CCTV-1 and a title partner on a high-speed rail line, which in the Chinese market are recognised markers of scale rather than advertising choices. The factory now ships to more than 140 countries, and the export business is the part that has grown fastest.
None of that is why a buyer should place an order. A trophy does not hold a tolerance and a rail partnership does not seal a gasket. What a buyer should take from this is narrower: the team that assembles a window on a Monday morning is the same team that turned up for four rounds in November, and the culture that produces one produces the other.
