IBS 2026 Orlando: Our Commercial Door and PTAC Window Line-Up

The NAHB International Builders' Show ran in Orlando, Florida from 17 to 19 February 2026, bringing architects, builders, developers and suppliers into one hall. We exhibited two systems, both chosen because they solve installation problems rather than add features: an aluminum commercial door line and an integrated PTAC window.

The commercial door, in detail

The door system is aimed at offices, hospitality, retail and public buildings, where a door has to survive constant traffic and still look architectural after five years. The frame is 6063-T5 aluminum with tempered glass, which gives the strength and impact resistance those environments demand.

Three hinge configurations are available, and the choice is a maintenance decision more than an aesthetic one:

An optional electric door closer can be specified for access control, which lets a project meet security requirements without adding a separate operator frame that ruins the elevation. The threshold is 8 mm, which clears ADA barrier-free access limits and removes the trip hazard that standard commercial sills create. A detail that small decides whether a public entrance is compliant.

The PTAC window: where the real cost was

Packaged terminal air conditioners are standard in hotels and multifamily projects, and the interface between the PTAC sleeve and the window has always been the weak point. Water gets in, installers improvise flashing, and the fenestration and HVAC trades blame each other for the leak.

Our PTAC window integrates the waterproofing into the window system itself. The unit is designed so the HVAC opening and the window opening are detailed as one assembly, which removes the field-fabricated transition, cuts labor, and removes the most common leak path. A rainproof louver provides ventilation while preventing backflow, and the louver is available in 1.8 mm and 2.0 mm thicknesses for projects that want additional durability.

What this means for a hotel renovation

In a property with 150 guest rooms, the fenestration and PTAC package is one of the few scopes where a design decision directly changes labor hours per key. Each room has one opening, one sleeve and one interface. Removing a field-fabricated flashing detail from that interface saves time on every room, and it removes the callback that shows up eighteen months later as a stained wall.

Both systems are available for project review now. If you are specifying for hospitality or commercial work and want the section details, threshold options and PTAC interface drawings for a specific opening, send the schedule and we will return the package.
